I have worked in the hospitality sector for almost three decades,
In my last position as Assistant Managing Director of Íslandshótel I have managed many projects such as the merger of Reykjavík Hotels and Fosshótel. From my first year I was in charge of  budgeting and coordinate the opening of the largest hotel in Iceland, the 320 rooms Fosshótel Reykjavík, assisted in the opening of Fosshótel Westfjords, Fosshótel Glacier Lagoon, Fosshótel Mývatn, planned the expansion of Fosshótel Húsavík and Fosshótel Vatnajökull as well as various projects in the field of policy-making, strategy, operations, financial, due diligence, change management and last but not least the process of organisational restructuring of the company.
 During my time with Íslandshótel, I have also been responsible for analyzing, planning and implementing the IT Environment in use today, from the wide area network, hosting provider to the implementation of a new booking and financial system as well as the integration of data analytics.
